The Parsons: February 2015

Since I just barely did his 8 month post only about a week ago..

I'm going to keep this one short and do mostly pictures!

He really is growing so quickly though

so there have been a few changes even since then

Just 2 days ago he decided when he pulled up on the bath tub that he would walk along it!

It scared me a little because I didn't think we were quite to this point yet

it's funny how fast babies go from crawling, to pulling up on furniture, to walking along it.

He's going to be fully walking before I know it!

He also started giving big open mouth kisses yesterday!

So stinkin cute!

And one of my favorite things he has been doing lately is turning the book pages
it really is too cute!
Why is everything babies do so cute?!

Also on last post I forgot to mention that he is still in 3-6 month clothing!
what on earth is that!
He has started to out grow a few items
and he fits in some 6-9 month things now too
But he is kinda a little guy I guess!

We went to the doctor last week so here are his 9 month stats

Weight

18 lbs {12%}

Height

28 inches {41%}

Head

18.2 inches {77%}

I had this whole post done.. and left it open on my computer and when I went to push publish it all went away except for what's above here. And I'm really sad about it! I really thought I had already published it and that I just had it open to edit something here.. Nothing worse than wasted time.
Anyway.. here it goes again. :(

I was in the bathroom getting ready and Ry called for me to come out.
So I did. To find that Luca was actually starting to crawl. He has been doing the worm crawl for a few months so it was so exciting to see him actually start really crawling!

We went to the festival of lights.
It was fun to drive through and see the lights
Luca didn't really care either way about the lights.
It was pretty cute set up, but a little over priced in my opinion!
Still a fun Christmas activity though.

More Christmas activities

Scum!

This has nothing to do with Luca being 9 months
But I am always keeping track of the gas prices
I wrote in his baby book just awhile ago that it was down to 2.70
when I took this picture, it was obviously to 2.30
and no wit is at 1.76!!! So crazy!
I've definitely enjoyed only spending less than $30 to fill up the car!

New toys at Aunt Steph's house

He really loves the shower
He always wants to be in there!

Luca loved all his new Christmas toys.
They keep him entertained for quite awhile, which has been nice!
I think he was so bored and he has loved having something new to look at!

This is on December 27 and he really took of crawling and hasn't stopped since!

Going to find daddy!

I think we have officially out grown this chair! Bummer!

This day he was really not feeling good
I don't know exactly what was wrong, but he was so sleepy and so snuggly
he never just sits on my lap so I really enjoyed all the snuggles I was getting!

He loved playing in this cardboard box.
I pulled him around in it and he thought it was sure funny!

I don't know why I'm obsessed with screens hotting pictures of him in his crib
But it's always just so cute to see what corner he has ended up in
or when he is sitting up playing with his blankey
or just laying there playing and keeping himself entertained
Ryan and I just think it's so fun to be able to watch him!
I don't know what parents did before video monitors!

Alysha has always said that Luca looked like the baby grinch
around christmas time everyone else started agreeing
I don't know what any of them are talking about ;)

Starting to attempt to pull up on furniture

Totally off topic..
nothing at all to do with Luca being 9 months
but Ryan and I went to the dentist together
and the dentist happens to be our brother in law, Joe
Who happens to be the most awesome person ever
because he removed my yellow stain spot on my tooth!
I wish I had a before picture
I always had people tell me I had something in my tooth... like a piece of food
but really it was just this stain
truly, it never really bothered me
But now that it is gone.. I feel like a new woman!
I have asked other dentists what we could do about it and they all made it seem like it was going to be really difficult
or like there wasn't really an option for it
so I never had anything done
well.. it took less than 5 minutes!
Advantages of knowing the dentist! Hooray!
and you're welcome for the picture looking right up my nose.. it's beautiful.

At Brick Oven for Lysh's birthday

When we come home from Jill and Keith's house at night Luca always falls asleep in the car
He is so snuggly and sleepy when you get him out of his seat
so you naturally just hold him and let him melt into you, because it's the cutest thing in the whole world
and it doesn't happen any other time.

We have switched him to the other side of his tub sometimes
(when he takes a bath.. mostly he showers now days)
But he loves the tub too
This bathtub has really been one of my very favorite baby items
it's huge and bulky.
but there really is just something so great about it
And I love that it works for both newborn up to when he can sit up on the other side.
I mean.. how great is that!?

This is his favorite place to play
he always pulls himself up on the speaker
and tries to get the cords in the back
sometimes he's quicker than me and actually gets the cords

One morning I went in to get him when he woke up and this is how he greeted me!
I couldn't believe he had pulled himself up.
But.. he hasn't stopped since!
I don't see any sleep training happening in the future for us for sure now.

He loves to pull up on the tub and try and get all the bottles and push them into the tub.
then he thinks he can climb up into there.
Luckily he can't yet. but I know it will be happening soon.

He has recently started letting me rock him to sleep for naps instead of bouncing him
which I love for many reasons
I don't have to stand and bounce.. win!
And I get baby snuggles! win win!!
