The Parsons: August 2014

I need to catch up with some pictures of what's been happening lately

For The Fourth of July we all went to slab pizza

and then later that night we did some fire works with the neighbors at the Parsons' house

probably the best pizza out there.. for real

I wanted a sparkler in the photo.. but then I couldn't get it too close to Luca...
So it ended up looking a little silly

Ryan and I decided we wanted to go out to dinner one night

we had a gift card to Chili's so we went there

Ryan kept saying.. maybe we should just have my mom watch him

but I wasn't worried.. he's a good kid..

he would mind his manners and let us enjoy our dinner together

Wrong.

He was asleep while we were waiting for the table..

in the scorching hot outside

so I removed his blankey..

and wide awake he was...

So you can imagine how dinner went

Ryan and I taking turns holding him the entire time

he wouldn't let us sit down

so ryan would cut up my food for me and I would stand and bounce him and try to eat

We of course were surrounded by young couples

or single people

and I'm pretty sure they just kept thinking how much they never wanted children

It really wasn't that bad.. but it wasn't as enjoyable as we had anticipated either

oh the joys of parenthood!

We've lived in our apartment now for almost a year

And we just now set up the Wii a few weeks ago

I have been a Wii lover for some time now

I was addicted to mario cart for a real long time

So the fact that we are just now setting it up tells you how busy our lives have been

because you better believe if I had some spare time.. I would be wasting it with some good Wii time

We took a walk to the park a few weeks ago

Luca absolutely loves being outside

it's giving me anxiety thinking that summer is coming to an end so soon

He is going to be a sad kid when he can't be outside

one more reason we need to move to St. George

this was his first time laying directly on the grass--- and it didn't bother him a single bit

He thinks he's such a big kid sitting up in his bumbo

He doesn't quite have it down yet

his head is still pretty wobbly..

but he really likes to be a big kid sitting up in the middle of everything

Ryan's sister Karrissa and her family moved here from Georgia recently

when they were headed home from the airport we all sat outside to wait

it got a little too dark before they arrived

but we enjoyed the time hanging out on the lawn

Alysha and I put together a little welcome home "party" for them
complete with cold stone waffle bowls
for the ice cream bar!

One night we went out to the Lindon Days Fireworks

{I think that's what it was anyway}

It was nice to be outside and just hang out with everyone

The fireworks were actually really great and surprised everyone

Luca didn't even mind the noise of them

he seemed to enjoy watching them too!

One day we went to Nickle City with everyone

It was a pretty fun time actually

just bein kids again!

Luca enjoyed it too

He didn't even mind not being in a comfy spot to sleep

he just fell right asleep facing forward

that never happens

These kids sure do love little Luca
and he really enjoys them entertaining him all the time
although, I know you can't tell that by this photo!

My friend Robyn lives in California and is a big Disney lover!!
So she was so sweet to send this adorable tiger outfit to baby Luca

Ry's best friend Braden returned from his mission to Poland last week
so we went up to the airport to welcome him home!
Baby boy was a little too sleepy to participate in all the excitement!

Tasha has been here off and on all summer while Brent was finishing his summer internship in Seattle

The last two weeks Brent came and spent here with us too

It has been so fun having them here and I am sad they are already gone

But to wrap up their trip Tasha's family threw her a wonderful baby shower

She has a lot of people that love her!!

It was so fun to get together, have yummy food, and see all the fun gifts she got for that sweet baby!

I can't wait to see them all in December for Christmas

naturally, baby Luca partied too hard and wore himself right out
